Finally got around to updating the repair of the accumulator in the fresh water system. First the anchor locker was cleaned out. As the pix shows there was lots of stuff in it.

Next the old accumulator was removed and when I discovered there was a rust hole responsible for the leak I got a new one to replace it. It actually took longer to clean out the anchor locker and crawl inside it than to replace the accumulator.

Still trying to sort out all the details of buying, outfitting, and getting comfortable with my new boat. Once the US Coats Guard sends me confirmation (it takes three to four months) the paperwork is complete the name will be changed from the Susan M Jackson to the Blythe Spirit.
Currently the boat is on a mooring in Marathon, Florida where I am getting comfortable living on the boat. I am also making a few changes as I notice things that would make living on the boat easier. Sometime after the first of the year I will be looking for a good weather window to head to the Bahamas and spend time there.
Until I leave I will be sailing around the Florida Keys and getting use to what it is like to live on a boat. Here is a pix of the Blythe Spirit at sunset.
